What Our Committes Do
This committee gets a truck and decorates it for the Kingwood 4 th of July parade. They hold an annual Veterans` Day luncheon where vets eat free and receive a small token of appreciation. Last May, they prepared over 1,000 flags for Fallen Vets in the Houston National Cemetery. They created an Amazon Wish List for our overwhelmed border Patrol agents.
This committee is where the action is. They ‘get out the vote’ by registering voters; gather and distribute information about all GOP candidates and propositions to members; invite candidates to speak at our meetings. They collect signatures to get local GOP candidates on a ballot; do block walking, phone-bank calling, and pass out candidate signs. They encourage KARW members to work as election judges, clerks, or poll watchers.
Send out communications to the board, committees, and all members, following the directives of the President.
Take photos throughout the year and make a book with those photos to give to our President at the end of her term.
This committe is still being defined.
Publish a monthly legislative update on bills–with an emphasis on election integrity and redistricting, for example.
This committee is stil being defined.
These members (friendly and inclusive!) work tables at special events, welcome new members with a welcoming gift, encourage members to invite neighbors, family and friends to join.
Help us put one out!
Our 1 st V.P. currently fills this crucial role. She approaches candidates, authors, and those currently in office to speak at our monthly general meetings, then finalizes arrangements with them.
We need someone to keep up our presence on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Are you active on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter? If you have ever written press releases or done Public Relations, we need you.
Even with Evite, people are busy and often do not respond. These committee members phone those members who have not viewed the evite, reminding them of our upcoming monthly meeting. No one has to phone more than 12 non-responsive members.

The Patron Program
We proudly offer our members an opportunity to contribute more to KARW. In memory of its Founder, we started a Patron Program and named it the Barbara A. Jordan Liberty Belles. Those who donate an extra $100 over and above their membership fee receive a specially designed pin engraved with the year they first contributed and enjoy unique events just for our patrons.
Seventy-five percent of your voluntary $100. Patron contribution goes toward Republican causes, and 25% to a scholarship for a deserving Republican woman.
Before joining our Patron Program, a Primary or Associate (female) member must have paid her annual club membership. Patron memberships are renewable every January.
